Are you looking for a cheerful and friendly miniature dog with lots of love for its family? Then it might be worth taking a closer look at the Bichon Frize.
Tiny dogs with big personalities!
We love to be the center of attention! We will do everything in our power to charm our family members. We know how to get what we want, but our cute looks are often enough.
We may be small dogs, but our intelligence is high! We can be obedient dogs as we are docile and love working with people.
Hate to be alone
Bichon Frize dogs are playful and, to some extent, independent, but we hate solidarity.
In other words: if you can not bring your dog with you everywhere, you are not a suitable owner for me. We depend on having company to be happy.
A Bichon frieze with separation anxiety could leave you with broken inventory and unstoppable barking.
As you probably have realized, we are social beings. This is a good thing because it means we thrive with all kinds of people and animals. However, because we are small dogs, you must teach children how to handle us.
Adapts quickly to family life
The Bichon Frize has a relatively low need for activity. You do not have to walk me for hours every day! For us, the most important thing is to spend time with our family and be a part of their activities.
We quickly adapt to family life, whether we live with active owners who love the outdoors or someone who prefers to be at home. We love games and mental challenges. Sometimes it can be an alternative for a long walk, but both are better. If we are understimulated, we can become hard to deal with.
We do good in flats
We can fit well in a flat because of our size! But we will need to run around, as there is a lot of energy in our tiny bodies. Please, do remember to bring us outside!
Be sure to give us plenty of challenges, such as new tricks and commands. Bichon Frize dogs are skilled agility participants, so it is an excellent activity for us.
Bichon Frize is generally a healthy breed. We are rarely affected by diseases, but allergies occur.
Requires a lot of fur care
When it comes to maintenance, people must be prepared to make a significant effort. It takes a lot of work to maintain the quality of the coat and its beautiful appearance. Expect brushing every day and bathing every other week. We do not shed and need trimming about every sixth week.
