The Welsh Corgi Cardigan. A good dog.
People of all ages love the Welsh Corgi Cardigan; they are natural charmers. Corgis can excel in various activities and dog sports, including obedience, exhibition, track and agility.
PS: The Corgi is available in two different varieties with their own breed standards. One is named Welsh Corgi Pembroke, while the other is called Welsh Corgi Cardigan. There are many similarities between the breeds, but some differences in appearance and some in behaviour.
It is said that the Cardigans are a little calmer and quieter than the Pembroke. They can also be somewhat more reserved towards people. In addition, they are bigger, weigh more and come in several colour variants.

Independent, intelligent and brave
The Corgi was initially a farm dog in spectacular Wales. There they herded cows and performed other tasks on the farm, including removing pests and guarding property.
They were good playmates for the children too!
The Corgi had to be independent, energetic, and brave to do these tasks (cows are big, they are small).
These qualities still persist in the Corgi. Other describing words for this breed are intelligent, bossy, humorous and docile.
It needs lots of stimuli
An owner should utilise the shepherding qualities, ingenuity and intelligence. Otherwise, the Corgi might develop destructive behaviour.
When this breed becomes restless, they might chew shoes or run off with your clothes.
The best medicine against such behaviour is to activate us, preferably by giving us work assignments at home or participating in dog sports. In addition, of course, we need daily walks in the woods and fields to thrive.
Dominant dog
Do not be surprised if you see Corgie with bossy tendencies towards other dogs. Historically they were the only dog on the farm, so they have been evolutionarily trained to become the 'boss dog'.
Though, if socialised from an early age, they will become more accepting of other dogs.
Maintenance
They need brushing 1-2 a week. During seasonal changes, the shedding will increase. Brush as needed.
The Welsh Corgi is talkative.
Something most Corgis do is make a lot of noise. Not just barking but also howling and other "weird" sounds.
Healthy breed
Welsh Corgi Cardigan are robust and healthy dogs. Some can suffer from hip dysplasia, and spinal prolapse in the back occurs, though this is rare.
Healthy individuals have a life expectancy of 12-14 years.
